Staff Dayton Business Journal Boeing Co. is finding success with hitting its environmental impact goals the company set in 2007, achieving incremental reductions on a variety of factors, the Puget Sound Business Journal reports. In a just-released report, the company said that since 2007 it has reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 9 percent, energy use by 3 percent and water use by 2 percent. Boeing set the goals in 2008, choosing 2007 as its benchmark for future comparisons. At that time, the goal was to reduce energy use and carbon emissions by 25 percent, when adjusted to account for higher revenue from increased production.
