Staff Dayton Business Journal Total spending on advertising by the Top 100 biggest spenders in Corporate America increased to $104.5 billion last year, a 2.8 percent increase from 2011, according to AdAge.com. The report said Amazon.com Inc.'s ad spending hit the $2 billion mark, making it just the second Internet company to hit that mark after Google Inc. did it two years ago. Amazon's 46 percent increase in ad spending was the second-most behind Samsung, which saw ad spending spike 57 percent.
