The state’s 129 tax deductions, exemptions and credits are taking about the same amount from state coffers as two years ago, and in spite of several repeals which cut 44 expenditures over the past decade, the number of tax breaks remains about the same. “Instead of adding more breaks, the Ohio legislature should be closely reviewing the 129 tax exemptions, deductions and credits that already exist,” said Zach Schiller, report author...
